Horsehage High Fibre - Wet, dark and sweet

Hi

does anyone else have a bale of Horsehage High Fobre that was purchased recently that is dark coloured, very moist and overly sweet smelling? I’m worried that it’s gone off. Horse is eating it but then again she would eat anything!

Mine are always like this and fine , much wetter than other brands, do seem to cause a cow pat effect

We use that one. It's not unusual to have some bales that are really heavy because they are wetter. Our lot love it. We occasionally get a bit of white yeast patch but that's fine too.
