My hay supplier has ran out of hay, and ive got no more left either :(

The farm I'm on supply us with it but Spook normally just turns his nose up at it in the summer. I've been looking at the Horsehage Timothy hay.

If you've used it what is the quality like and how much do you get in a bag?

Thanks!

Havent used the timothy but have used the ryegrass and was very good quality, horse loved it. I think theres about 23kg in a bale, usually lasts my 16hh 2 and half days when stabled

Tell me about the shortage!
I have just spent the last hour and a half searching for haylage to buy, not just in the Exeter area but nationwide paying for a delivery.
I can't find any other than small bale of which there appears to be a good supply.
Any suggestions anyone? pm me or we will get deleted..

Spook is only 14.2hh and he gets a handful a day, do you think there is enough to last a couple of weeks?

Thanks :)

Well its worth a try :D ... if it starts to go a bit mouldy try taking it out of the packaging as my friend had a bale which started to mould after about 5days, so we took it out of the packaging and it stopped moulding, just went a bit dry and lasted about a week and a half :) hope thats helpful
