I stupidly asked this question on a previous post expecting people to read it.

Has anyone had a horsehair bracelet made?

If so which company did you use and were you pleased? I want something really plain but really nice quality.

I've had a few made by From the Tail Jewellery and have always been impressed with their service and quality. They have a website and a Facebook page.

I lost a horse very dear to me a few years ago and wanted something to remember him by.

I used 'hairloom keepsakes' (search for them on google or Facebook) and the lady was brilliant. There were lots of designs and patterns for the bracelet, but also other things to make out of horse hair. I thought that was a great idea because bracelets require a lot of hair, so for those who only have a little hair they could have a keyring or similar. I also liked being able to chose the type of braid the bracelet would be.

I chose to combine the horse I lost with the hair of his best friend (who is still alive) so that they can always be entwined together, and I was so pleased with the results.

I had three made, each with different patterns, and one with a charm, and one with the horses names on: a bracelet for each of my friends who cared for the horse, and one for me. They were all great quality, and made exactly to the measurements of our wrists so fit perfectly.

Here are some photos: (just to add the first two bracelets in the first pic are not from hairloom keepsakes!)

After losing my boy last year, I used Seirendipity Equine and the service I got was fantastic. They kept me up to date as to how things were progressing and my gorgeous bracelet was returned on time as promised. They are on facebook and highly recommened.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions, I have been having a look through them all and am bowled over by the amount of choice and how beautiful they are. Going to check how much hair my friend got from his tail and go from there.

Really appreciate you all taking the time to reply.
