Amazing. After starting the season with two horse, both qualified for RIHS, I am now about to be horseless

(apart from Toby's 11hh lead rein which I consider too close to the ground for me to ride!) Pimms sold last month within 20 minutes of going onto Horsequest, but I still had my share of little cobby Brocket. Took him to Bath and West this week (where he came 3rd

). Then my friend and I that share him had some "very bad horse news" re another venture we had, which means that Brocket is now up for sale on HorseQuest

If anyone wants to buy him for me to ride, I will be more than happy

although I have a feeling that he is another one that will be flying out of the door (I assume people know that I only ride the safe ones and therefore if I ride them, they must be OK

)

So - having just bought two lovely new show jackets I will have to resort to wearing them when I drop Toby off at school (lots of the other mothers are horsey and wear riding stuff ...

I shall be extremely nice to my sister now and see if I can pick up any spare rides.

Fairly pointless post, but a bit down about the situation.

Perhaps put in the ad for Brocket that you'd like to retain the ride if at all possible?

Here's hoping that you do get another equine partner to ride....although I'd be very surprised if you didn't have offers coming in when people learn that you're horseless.

xx

Awww that sucks honey. ((Hugs))

Just been for a look and I wish I had that much money spare - we could share him seeing as he's sane

yeah - at least nothing bad has happened to my horses, so I know I am just being a spoilt brat. It is nothing compared with what FMN is going through right now.

I'm horseless too, before Dermot I was doing lots of other horses but I wanted to consintrate on him so cut off them. Now I don't have him and I spent all my money on intensive care in a gamble he'd pull through. I either start the 'horse ladder again' and wait till auguest and a pick a new forest to bring on and work up once more. Fine a full loan that I'll never own. But I might try and see if I can get a rich borther *who hates horses* to sponser me with a cuple of grand. Please don't make me go back to ponies!! I know this sounds really earlie but i can't bare sitting at home thinking about things and being down in the dumps, I need get something positive back into my live. It hasn't sunk in though....

Why don't you buy this horse??

What a shame, FMM, I hope his Lordship finds a lovely home soon (although I think that is guaranteed) and hope that you will find something to ride soon. If I win the lottery please can you ride him for me at RIHS (as that is the closest I would ever get!)
