Anyone ever tried horselyx? Do they really stop going at them as much after a while because im worried she will never stop at it!! I was thinking about getting a boredom buster but i dont want her to get obbsessed with it and i have heard they are all sugar!! does anyone else use them and are they any good ? ?

The medium sized horselyx lasts my girls all winter! I have used lickits but find that mine demolish them in a couple of days. You could also try putting an apple in water bucket as that will occupy for a while!

I had a couple in the field over summer ... My pony became obsessed with it. Literally didnt move away from it. She got through 1/4 of one over night - Cue the licks promptly being removed from the field!!

i normally buy the horselyx for the winter, but this year ive got the dengie field lick, its about the size of a corsa wheel and tyre! they are loving it! and best of all it costs £12 !!

we bought horselyx (5KG) ones and the wall mount with them to as they come with a restrictor grill, they last ours a good few weeks and definatly help with the whole bordem situation. Another good thing about horselyx is you can mix and match with respiratory/ garlic/ mobility or orginal.

just bought some. First few hours we they were at them no end but now they know they are there to stay they have backed off abit. I think the worst thing you can do is take them away from the horse because when they do have them they try and get as much as possible while they have them :)

I have the small horselyx that i use as a treat/reward, she loves it, can well imagine one that stays in the stable going very quickly. She has a salt lick in her stable and occasionally we hang a swede or turnip up but she has got a bit good at getting those down and eating them in one day......

grrr .. just been down to the stables and one of my horses has almost finshed it!! i only put it in on sunday!!! What should i do? only give it to her for a few hours? get a restrictor grill? keep giving her them ? ? !!

I bought my lad a Likit Boredom Breaker a few weeks back now he’s in on a night, took him a day or two to suss it out (must be the dumblood or the Irish Daft in him) but he’s been busy licking away at it and I feel much better knowing he’s got that to occupy him as he’s one of those horses that has to be doing something as he’s so cheeky, he was chewing his stable door frame but sinse his Likit toy has arrived (touch wood) he’s not eaten his way through it yet, his Decohendron snack ball is gread for the field but not his stable, he just turns his bed upside and creates carnage otherwise.

His breath and stable smells lovely (apple flavour he’s currently on) when he’s been licking it, quite tempted to eat it myself!

Definitely recommend one, you can the Likit Ice which is the salt one, also you could just make your own Likit inserts too which are lower in sugar if you think your horse will guzzle them down too quickly.

she is absoloute obsessed with food. she got through the horselyx in 3 days!! and it was all over her face too. I need to find a way to slow her hay consumption down aswell as she can get through a full double netted haynet in less than an hour. I was looking at the those trickle nets but there £30!!! She needs something to occupy her in the stable but im worried that everything i get her she will just eat through really quickly and end up costing me a fortune (like th horselyx did!!!!) xxxxx
