anyone! i've not got a lick with very minimal plastic! it keeps being thrown around the stable! & that's the big one!

I think the plastic boxes break too quick. I would be worried about sharp edges too.
I buy the little Horselyx and tip them out into a small trug, and put them in a bucket holder on the wall.
Obviously they don't last as long as the big ones but they don't get shavings etc stuck in them like they do when they're on the floor.
Will your lick fit into a big trug and put it in a tyre for now?

never thought of that! only bought the big one cos i knew he'd smash the small one within minutes! I'll find a tyre from the farm & give it a try! thanks!

The holders work but you can only use the smaller ones, they attach to the wall and they also have a bar that can go over the top to stop the horse gorging and pulling it out the holder i have two they work brilliantly i've had them about four years they are pretty mucky/sticky though!

My horses next door neighbour has one in her stable - its been there for ages and she is obsessed with it and really quite rough in general but not managed to break anything so far!
