Horsemart - Argh!!!

I have my horsebox advertised for sale on various sites. Last week Horsemart telephoned me asking did i want to advertise on their site so i said yes. I paid the £25 and the advert went up. They obtained all the details and the photos off another site. I checked it and they had the wrong registration letter so i emailed them and they changed it. Then thought nothing of it. Ive had a few emails from people asking about the box sounding really interested. But then when i tell them where i am i never hear from them again. Anyway one lady has now brought to my attention that horsemart has my box located in the South east. ( im the north west ) so when i checked the advert, yes they have and also they have put two ficticiuos ( sp? ) telephone numbers in the place of my number!!! The advert has def changed to when i checked it.

I will ring tomorrow to ask them to alter it but do you think i have a leg to stand on if i ask for an extra weeks advertising?? I believe i have missed out on a weeks worth of potential buyers by it not being in the right location, especially for someone using the search engine.

what have you got to lose? go for it but remain calm and polite (away to laugh at myself who was screaming at equine insurance people again today)

You cant help but get angry!!! I mean its not difficult is it to cut and paste another advert. Where the ***** they got thoses telephone numbers from, and kent!!???

Yep definitely give it a go, and lol at being calm and measured - so easy to say and so hard in practice.

Either a weeks free advertising or a refund. Definitely.

I find that shouting technically doesn't help, but if they are a pain about it, it does make me feel better

Mention trading standards or CAB to them if they are resistant. They've not provided the service correctly, so should give a refund or 'replacement'.

Alternatively i can offer a toffee crisp in exchange for your box? ...No? lol

so they re done it and put it back to the first ad again .

They have totally admitted its their fault and offered to upgrade it for nothing , so it stays at the top for a week, and relist it as new but would not give me another week free. Theyve changed the details, but have they upgraded it... have they bollo*ks! Argh!! Im gonna leave it a few hours then another phonecall is in order!
