Horsemart mail-list email 'Horses under £500 make great Christmas presents'

I messaged Horsemart about it to express my outrage, they replied "We are extremely sorry about this. This is not the message we wanted to get out. We will ensure that our messages our much clearer in the future! Thank you for getting in touch." :mad:
 
OMG!!

A dog is for life not just for christmas - and so is a horse!! I cannot believe they are promoting horses as christmas presents.

Also I'm guessing their database just pulled out all horses under £500 with no human filtering as to what would actually be a suitable pony/horse for a child.

Even if you had parents (maybe non-horsey parents) already thinking of buying their child a pony/horse, to suggest that anything under £500 would be suitable christmas present and highlight 2 year olds is just so wrong.

I can't believe anyone even thought it, let alone wrote it down and sent it out.

Did they miss the "a dog is for life, not just christmas" campaign over the last few years or somehow think the same wasn't true for horses?
