My Norton Antivirus is telling me that Horsemart site is unsafe with a big red x on it.
Have always gone on it without problems but last 2 days this is happening.
Anybody else getting that too?
Don't want to risk it if there is a problem?

This is what I am getting when you click on the site is unsafe part -

General Info

Norton Safe Web has analyzed horsemart.co.uk for safety and security problems. Below is a sample of the threats that were found.

Threat Report

Threats found: 1
Here is a complete list:

Threat Name: HTTP Gumblar Request

Cannot understand though why nobody else is seeing it - I am on Norton 360.

I got the same message so not just you. I had a further look and I wonder if it is malware. I have had that before from Horsemart when I had not updated my antivirus protection.

Learnt a lesson that day but fortunately had the sense not to click on the link even though it looked to be from microsoft but googled first despite all these things flashing at me and telling me my computer was going to implode in 10 seconds! Well ok a bit of an exaggeration but it was a bit scary!! The idea is to panic you into clicking the link.

Clicking on the link allows the virus or whatever in as far as I could work out( I am a computer numpty so wont be offended if someone says this isnt the case)

yup - my K9 (free software guys!) is linked to one of the biggest net threat protection sites - its free so that the enterprise version then has the benefit of everyone trying to access different sites etc - rates it all quickly - something in the region of 64m users and over 1 bn hits a week.

So my K9 software is barking at me and won't let me access horsemart...So I would leave well alone.

Incidentally, if anyone here is looking for good parental control, a colleague uses K9 to lock down the PC at 9.00 at night and son can't hack into it to change it. Also restricts what his son can look at! AND all it takes to put controls in is to click on which catergories are banned..!

I've long since given up looking at horsemart, cos of all the prices merging into text - just awful to look at. Why on earth don't they get it sorted - I wouldn't put an ad on there. Makes me go bog-eyed  sm x

my computer crashed with a virus from horsemart whilst I was on the phone to the sales team who were well aware of the virus.

It was a bloody pain in the arse trying to sort it out.

Don't ignore the warnings - my web threat protection is constant - so malware sites that can be stuck up for 15 mins - then taken down, are found out - a lot of AV software will miss stuff like that as they refresh say once an hour or similiar.
