Our lot are used to one of the terriers chasing them round the field and winding them up but if they're on the yard with the dog and the dogs behaving they are fine together.

Actually they're fine most of the time but more to the point Blue is not!! He tries to stamp on anything small thats near his feet be it chickens, cats, dogs or the goats (when we had them!) but was walking through the field yesterday with OH and his dog (which incidently is a similar size and colour to what one of the goats was) and Blue came over to say helllo the dog was on his lead and behind OH, Blue after about 10mins noticed he was there went to sniff him realised what he was and went to stamp on him. Luckily i saw what he was up to and managed to shove him before he had a chance to go through with it.

He is a bully to alll the other horses and if any of the others come over to me when i'm in the field and Blue is with me he'll chase them off. Anyone heard of a possesive small animal hating horse before?

Yes. I had a little shettie x welsh that hated dogs with a passion. She would pick them up by the scruff of the neck and shake them given half a chance. She would chase them too and the funniest thing I ever saw was her chasing my OH's collie who was very quick, he span and turned she tried to follow and ended up in a heap on the floor!

Yes, my arab mare was pretty tolerant butl one of the dogs on our old yard kept trying to stick its stupid nose in her feed bucket whil she was eating in the field and she bit it.

It was really funny at the time u would expect her to use her heels as she had before but you could see her warn the dog several times before biting it really hard on the scruff, served it right. Another day someones alsatian came up to say hello to us and she went for that as well and also an over friendly goat. She was quite protective

He's not alone then! Naughty though and a little worrying seeing as there is a footpath that runs through their field!

Holly on the other hand is the opposite she kept sniffing the dog and then when we scratched her mane she started nuzzling the dog with her lips cos he was standing in front of her was quite funny and cute!
