Does anyone have any thoughts on if horses can 'sense' things??
I'm a non believer but in the last 36hrs I'm starting to think otherwise!!
Ponyboy and his two friends moved to a private yard yesterday-just him and them, 3 stables and 3 acres. None of the horses will enter the largest stable and I witnessed one of them actually barge INTO the stable door as if in a bid to get the other out. They are not grazing and will not be seperated.
Lots of other 'strange' happenings too!!!

Where we keep ours there is a corner on the track jacob hates and is always funny on,and when we moved for a short while he would never settle in the indoor arena.

The indoor arena and the corner on the track are both places cattle used to be slaughtered on both yards used to be cattle farms and jay is very edgy about both places.

I could put you in touch with a fantastic psychic if you want. Why do you think the new yard is haunted? Could they just be unsettled by the move?

Our yard is on a very old farm.....I have heard people when there is no-one there, and one morning all 3 of my horses, who were stood with their heads over their door...turned their heads at the same time as if watching somone walk past....no-one there!

At the RS I had, there was one stable that horses hated going in, most would refuse to be put there and more often than not, as soon as door was open, they would barge out.

The stables were haunted, we used to see a grey pony and a dun pony, heard them and someone even chatted away to the dun then realised there was no pony there

I definately believe they can see things we can't. Didn't used to believe, but my big horse taught me otherwise! He was silly hacking out, was fine one minute then would freak (this is completely unlike him) he would go backwards, sideways, rear etc etc. He always did it in a dangerous spot on a corner or railway bridge, somewhere I couldn't get after him and tell him to get on with it. Had a horse whisperer out to him and he said he is seeing things I am not and when I spoke to a local (I wasn't) about the places he was naughty they were accident blackspots and the railway bridge had a plaque on it where someone jumped and died!
It is a bit freaky, but I understand now, which makes things a lot easier. He loves hacking, just have to choose routes carefully!

i would say they can def sense something! there have been many goings on at my yard and when i used to be at a riding school, whereby a few years earlier a rider had sadly lost her life in one of the paddocks.

I used to keep a horse on a yard built on an old Roman road. The horses would frequently stop dead and watch something/someone unseen passing by. The yard dogs and cats would just disappear with their hair standing on end, but the horses never seemed frightened, just curious.

Bedlam, would this psychic be able to contact horses in the spirit too?
I would love to be able to have communication from my horses!

It might sound really silly, but we put holy medals in the horses stables, so that their Angels will keep them safe. I have terrible fear of fire starting as I do not live at yard so this way It puts my mind at rest that someone will be looking after them, its like when you get a new house built you put a medal in the foundations of the house and its said to keep bad spirits/happenings away! it has worked for us so far, might be worth a try...x

Horses sense electromagnetic energy and residual energy. Might be either the case that something traumatic happened in the stable or it might be an earth energy problem. I've come across many suchh cases. Also on what you call ghosts. One person contacted me as her horse would be frantic and box on its hind legs at 'nothing' in the field. When I commicated with it it showed me a picture of a young mare that was dead. I then communicated with the mare who didn't realise she was dead (the horse could feel it but not see it) the description of the young mare fit with one that recently had been PTS sleep at the stables from a leg injury she could have recovered from.

I also come across other similar things such as horses crashing through post and rail fencing in terror etc. Often these poor horses are described as dangerous or as having neurological problem s and are written off of even shot. In every case of this kind of behaviour we have found some strange explaination for it, sorted it (often I refer on for that) and the horses sort themselves out.

It's also not unusal for them to steer clear of old slaughter barns on farms and accident black spots.
