After I purchased Orkan he lived in a lovely 5 star yard but was very unhappy being in at night despite persisting for 6 weeks so I moved him to a quiet little yard where he could live out 24/7. During the snow he unfortunately had to come in for a week and is now attached to his stable! Went to feed him in the field at 8pm after a hard day at work and he was galloping around, whinying and begging to be brought in. Had to relent as the buggar is slowly coming back into work after a back injury and I didn't want him to undo all the good work (if he hasn't already)

Blooming horses are they never satisfied?

I've done 3 trips (10 min walk in the pitch black and fog) to the field from the yard tonight, shifted piles of hay and contended with yard power cut. Been out from 7.30am this morning and only just got home.

Good job we love them eh?

Mine is the same. I've always thought no matter what the weather she'd prefer to be out, but in this weather she's been in for 5 weeks, with a couple of hours in a small paddock daily, and she's been miserable out and dragging me to stable when I've brought her in!

She seemed to really appreciate being in, but now the 'S' has gone (touches wood) she's loooooving being out!!!
