I think one of Santa's is by Heartbreaker. She is......
Don Schufro's can do no wrong currently, however I haven't heard of any outside the dressage arena. The others are predominantly sjers. Concorde is incredibly well established. Are you looking at some by these stallions? What for?
Mines by Indoctro, they can jump, his generally win the age classes at the stallion grading shows, I think 1 year he had both the champion 4 and 5 year old. He's the number 1 sire in the US, already had offspring at the Olympics (he's not that old) Meatloaf, Orame, Nike are by him.
I know anothor horse by Indoctro and they do seem to be very thick skinned and can be quite pushy on the ground, would take advantage of you if given the chance - that opinion though is only based on 2 horses, one of which is a 17.2 thug - which may be because of his breeding or past owners, so probably not that representative. They aren't delicate flowers
We've got a load of youngsters with those bloodlines.
Just think its interesting to see what traits can run through them.
Dieseldog - funny you should say that about Indoctro horses - I have a two year old whose a real bossy madam with a hell of a temper, but sooo talented. I think if you get on the right side of her she'll be a star, and if not you'll need to watch your back!
Mine hasn't got a temper just absolutly no concept of personal space. And when you finally get thru to him that pushing into you isn't good, he will forget 2 mins later and start doing it again. I don't think he's very bright. You can tell him off though and he's not the sort of horse that has to be handled diplomatically, doesn't hold a grudge. If you come down to a fence and completly bury him in it, he'll just keep going on to the next one and totally forget about it.
What is yours out of? Mines a goodwill mare so not sure what they are like.
Don Schufro's lot are good on the flat. I wouldnt say anything too special (altho il probably get shouted down for saying that). They are ok, extravagant extends which im not keen on - give me Sandro Hit/Sandro King or Sir Donnerhal any day! Heard there temprements aren't great, but heard that about all the Blue Hors lot to be honest. Not sired that many 'greats'. Diamond Hit is doing ok, again nothing outstanding, as is Don Romantic. They are all 'big' horses with a lot of presence. Not enough hock action for me tho.
I had experience of two horses by concorde when i worked in a showjumping yard. One was to die for - absolutely gorgeous i fell in love with him! Other was quite evil at home but lovely at shows, not an amazing jumper but now has gone on to do well at dressage. Both were prone to mud fever though. Good luck
