Today on hacking past my house and stopping to talk to my hubby, my horse cast his eye over my two carved attepts from last nights Halloween festivities......upon sniffing both the pumpkin and then the other sort of green squash thing, he decided he like the green one and bit a chunk out of it's smiley scarey face. He really quite liked it but wasn't sure if it was a)good for him or b)how much he should be permitted to indulge, I know that most large veg are fine but never come accross the squah thing before - any ideas?

Hmmm, not sure, but do you know if horses can eat kiwi? A friend has just given me one she doesnt want for Oscar but thought Id better check first..

ha ha well mine eats banana so can't really see it would hurt but this makes me think, I wonder what they really can and cannot eat? I am not a greta one for treats but he does like his fruit and veg and does get guiness at Crimbo and New Year and the odd titbit as a reward. Kiwi.....now that is posh!! ha ha ha

A couple of years ago I decided to grow pumpkins in the muck heap (they like the warmth & moisture!) Said pumpkins were coming along nicely, however one day I forgot to replace the electric tape protecting them from mauading ponies and they were scoffed in minutes flat - no harm came to ponies so I guess they must be ok (but don't quote me on that!!)
