Horses escaped last night

Sectioned horses field in half last night as they are getting stupidly fat, then went down this morning and YO told me that they had escaped and had wadered right round the yard into a field full of lush grass, they had escaped by the gate as it had come off the hinges so looks like they wanted one last gorge on lush green grass before the strict diet kicks in lol either that or someone has been tamparing with the gate but i doubt it as 2 year old was happily grazing in his field next door proberbly thinking WHAT ABOUT ME?

I always do that too - before starting a diet have one last cream cake (or 2) !! - glad they didn't get hurt

Must have been the night for it, my dads big mares walked through a hedge last night to get into the back field with loads of grass. They had to spend the night in a bare pony paddock after he got them back through as it was to dark to fix the hedge. So they would have been better staying put in the first place!!!

my horse escaped yesterday but he didnt go eating lush grass he went tearing round the yard in fear as the gate to his field gaveway as he leant on it and he went flying in a panick he has gone through electric fence and sliced his back leg open resulting in 10 staples to hold it together and 10 days box rest while it heals. Poor Lad
