I went to look at a show cob he had for sale, who when i turned up was a 16.2hh shire horse .
He had others there which all looked pretty poor and had lice.
I left empty handed.

If you buy anything make sure it goes in quarrantine.

He buys up all the unreserved lots cheap at the sales.

Saddest thing I ever saw there was a very old thin dun cob stood tied to a post with his head down. He told me he was 10 but had virtually no teeth left in his mouth. I left feeling very sad that someone hadn't done the right thing by this poor old chap had him PTS.

Never went back.

in this market, with prices being so very low, i really think it is unneccasary to purchase from a 'cheap' dealer thats had court cases against them and a renowned reputation. Just my opinion!!

Yes, know him. In the past have bought a couple of horses there. They're cheap for a reason so if you go in with your knowledgeable eyes open you could find something but be prepared to put an awful lot of work into it and do not take for granted that the horse has been properly started (if at all). If you acknowledge that you may be buying a problem then you won't be disappointed.
