can you all advise me on some good ones?

am looking through some now and they are a bit rubbish!

things that are irritating me so far...

*pages and pages of horses with SOLD over thier ad - remove them then website!
*POA ads, so many of them and i hate phoning people to ask the price...
*sites that dont have search parameters so i can narrow down my search
* sites that seem to think the horses name is the most important detail (I DONT CARE what its called - how big is it?!)
*ads that say - 'must be seen', but havent bothered to put up a pic...

arghhh!

ooh, found a 4YR old for sale, not yet been broken/ridden, but has 'Shown great potential'

£20,000!

bit rich for my blood!

I like Horsemart - Something that irritates the hell out of you maybe something that's important to the next, eg names. I like ads that mention the name, makes me feel that they care about their horse. I agree with you about ads with no pictures - what's the point? If you look at view counters on these horses you'll find that people simply don't bother to look at them. One thing I hate is the 'timewasters, daytrippers, dreamers etc..' put in ads. - how rude! Also talk about any 'potential' the horse might have.

i see what you mean, but its not the main selling point to me, i want to know how big/how much etc.,not thats its called fluffy etc.

and the time waster thing, where you get the feeling that if you dont buy thir horse you are automatically a timewaster, never mind that the horse wasnt what you were after!

I like horsemart because you can search by region. Living in Northumberland I don't have time to travel to Devon/Cornwall/Wales to look at horses so will only consider ones in approx 2-3hours travelling distance. I also like Horseselect because it is mainly northern horses.

I hate the POAs. Have never phoned up any of these as
1. I assume horse is way out of my price range, or
2. They haven't decided how much they want, or
3. They will ask me how much I want to spend and miraculously horse just happens to have a price tag to fit

Also hate the re-advertised due to timewasters bit, somehow or other this may translate to re-advertised due to failing the vet and previous sucker not going ahead with purchase

or prospective purchaser has come to ride said horse again, got bolted with/bucked off etc and changed their mind

Probably means that anyone that does not want to buy said horse is classed as a timewaster
I like Horsemart and www.adhorse.com and H&H as you can search these easily

oh, and 'to good home only', i mean how many people think they would provide a terrible home, or think ' that rules me out then, i only wanted to buy it so i could poke it with a sharp stick and feed it a diet of used tea bags...
