My horses frog on her hind left seems to have gone a funny brown colour over the last day..
Ive never noticed it before so I'm sure its because of the snow.
I thought it might be thrush but it doesn't smell and doesn't hurt my horse to have the ice picked out etc.
Confused!?

I honestly have no idea. My TB's frogs are paler than usual - do you think it's because there is less blood in them because of the cold? Like I said, I don't know but it seems vaguely logical to me.

Do you think they are much cleaner than you are used to? Is that leg a diff colour to the rest? eg is it a pigment diff not usually seen as hidden by dirt? No idea, just a thought!!

My lot all have browny frogs. I thought this was normal, what colour are yours normally then? When any of mine have had thrush there is black smelly gunk in the grooves and sometimes the central cleft.
