I deliberately kept the horse cold all night because that should have made him worse. Typical, I own the only horse with locking stifles who is a lot better if he's cold! Dohhhhh.

Do you have a picture? It takes months and months maybe years to go barefoot. This shoeing then taking off is not doing him any good, you will have to commit to shoes or bare in my opinion.

Agreed, and it should only take months if you are doing a rehab from something serious like navicular or lammi. A sound horse shouldn't take long, if they take any time at all. If its taking years, then its not happening at all and the horse has probably got something seriously wrong.
