Oh I agree with you absolutly.
This week jack has been worked Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I'll probably ride one day over the weekend.
Hes plenty fit for the work he does (dressage) and is on the walker for an hour everyday along with a kick about in the indoor school as we have no turnout.
I do try to keep his work consistent though because of his age now. Ive never liked the concept of not riding all week and then blasting about at the weekends.
I frequently work in blocks of two days because, as i mentioned before, ive always found by the third day they're difficult and unfocused so thats usually the most he schools in "blocks".
As I said, ive been on a couple of yards now that literally school 7 days a week and while theres no doubt they're getting the results out of it, for me, its not the way to go. But hey, i just did as i was told
