Hey, I moved to Rugeley, Staffordshire a year ago to start a new life with my family But left my very horsey lifestyle behind having to leave my job at a stud and sell my beloved horse, a year on I'm very happy BUT I'm not coping with no horses in my life but having no horsey contacts its hard to get anywhere so I'm wondering if anyone local could Recommend livery yards or just people that might want a hand with theirs. I am 5 and half months pregnant at the mo so am not in the best condition to be riding but sooner or later I'll be looking for my own again and maybe going back to part time work with them again but for now just want some local horsey friends so I can get my fix lol. :)

I have no recommendations I'm afraid, however I'm in much the same boat and have recently moved to an area close to yourself so could always get together for coffee, horsey chat and yard hunting together if you wanted? PM me if you like :)

I have just moved to Rugeley (not my choice, OH has been sent there by his work!), I'm a freelance groom and I'm finding it impossible to find work and friends. I thought it was quite a horsey area but I think I was wrong!

I looked for about 8 months whe I first moved here a year ago and took CVs everywhere, I eventually gave up and started dog walking but Im now feeling the need to smell of horse wee and have callouses on my hands again, once Ive foaled in febuary Ive got to make the decision to start looking again or leave it and try to just get my own. Wish you all the best in your job hunting, If you ever want to meet up and have a horsey chat for a fix then let me know :)

Hi, if you look further towards the Abbotts Bromley area, there are always people needing help. At High Ash Farm in AB there is a board advertising jobs, it is worth having a look there or putting up your details!
