I never say the first article but that makes me sick to my stomach.

I have organised trail rides in Turkey and we always make sure there is enough food dropped for the horses before we set off.

Able didn't look alive in that first picture so to see him now is almost a miracle.

How can people like that live with themselves?

Yes I saw this on Fugly I think - what a difference. That horse must have such a strong will to live as he was in a horrific state when found. Brought tears to my eyes to know he is doing so well.

Thanks for posting this update!

I would have said he should have died following treatment like that, shows what a strength of character Able had. People who can do that defy belief but it will keep on happening unless we ever get to the stage where animals have the same rights as people.

Wow. What a wonderful job they have done to bring that horse back from what looked like certain death in that first photo and what an amazing horse to keep the will to live throughout all that. Poor things.

cruel ignorant scum what horrid people they should be marched up there and left tied for a few days themselves .. oh maybe not perhaps, just shoot them instead....

That is an amazing recovery, what a strong will to survive that little horse must have. Thank goodness they were rescued when they were.
Thnaks for the update.

it's amazing isn't it? I can't comprehend how Able came back from that, and to look so well now

i think i will send them some money, the vet bills must be huge and it is only a little local shelter, not some big national organisation. amazing that able lived while those two ladies had to ride back and sort out his rescue.

What a lovely thought, I didn't originally scroll down the whole article and now I have I am totally shocked at those photo's, can you ever imagine any of our horses still working with wounds like that. I too will now make a donation.
