Horses living out 24/7- do you go down once or twice a day?

Once a day, in the evening to feed/hay. However the YO lives on site and also hays them/checks on them/fills water in the am.

That being said we now have the TB who's a bit underweight so, twice a day to feed him and turn him out/bring him in.

Ours are on 3 fields (9 acres) and some hill, some trees, some bushes, some marshy land at the bottom field and have a field shelter and running water through the field.

I check once a day, but on livery yard where people come and go at all hours and so would get a call if anything untoward had happened in the interim..

mine are only out 24/7 in the summer, but would always check them twice a day, sometimes more if i am passing the yard....
