For a number of different reasons , my horse is moving from his individual field to a large field with two other (lovely) horses.
I'm going to get a field lick but i wondered if anyone could recommend any good'uns. The more minerals and vitamins the better!

Which ones do you use?

Also, i've read in some places that people complain that the licks make their horses noses' sticky, but surely while the horse is grazing it will just rub off?!
Haha, anyway. Not the point, fussy fussy people!

if u shop around a bit tho u can get them cheaper, i think i paid £12-14 for mine. one of the horses did turn his nose up at it for a while til he thought he was missin out on something. they also didnt seem to get really sticky noses as it is quite dry, esp in comparison with horslyx.
the only downside i found to them was with my violent youngster who kept kicking it about & wen it got a bit lighter throwing it! it broke up into smal pieces i disappeared into the grass, but shes quite skilled at breakin most things!

none of the others broke them up

Well I think Rocky's (red rocky or yellow but I don't think you can have sheep anywhere near with that one, or one of them)

Red Rocky is not a sticky one or bound with anything like molasses so no worries of a sticky nose. Horsylx is good but I think too yummy to leave out, as they may just lick it to death type of thing plus that is a sticky one! lol

Hhmm, i thought that rockies were just salt? Do they contain other minerals too?
The horses in the yard all have them, they hardly ever lick them though..?

Red Rockies are a complete lick, yellow is the same minus the copper and the white ones are pure salt. Every field and paddock of mine has a Rockie red except the donks who would rather have the yellow one. You can get different flavors but I stick to the normal red ones. IMHO the other brands don't come close to Rockies, they don't melt in the rain and the horses noses don't get sticky
