I remember a couple of members having posted recently about their horses going downhill and just losing their sparkle. One such horse was Inky...

My friend has a pony who is about to be affiliated with BSJA and performance graded. Last weekend she took him to an event and he didnt want to jump! Since then he's been lethargic and just not 'himself'. Blood tests etc have been taken and all is normal. This has also happened to another horse locally within the last couple of weeks. Nothing you can put your finger on...

How many more horses have gone like this? i definately remember a couple of people here saying their horses had gone like it too, and would be interested to hear from them.

I'm starting to wonder what on earth it could be? The vet is baffled...

It could be the sudden changes in temperature and things?
It's been really cold here recently, and it's suddenly gone really warm this past day or so.

This happened to a horse of mine a few years back. He loved jumping and then all of a sudden he just didn't want to do it any more. I didn't over jump him, infact i hardly jumped him at home at all, but he just seemed to get fed up with going to shows. I gave him a few months away from it and took him x-country instead which he LOVED...think he just needed a change of environment.

Of course i had him checked out by a vet before hand and like your friends horse, there was nothing 'medically' wrong with him.
