Today, as an English task we had to write about being in a photo that had horses in. I described them pawing at the muddy river bed.
He then called me Silly, and said that horses don't have paws, they have hooves/Hoofs?

I always thought a Horse paws at the ground when impatient?
I am right arent I?..

Yes you are right

Also when they are playing...or mine does anyway!

What a prune! You can tell him my Der Brain story too if it helps him to get his head round things. Many people post on here about Pig Oil and Sulphur - well, just the sound of it put me off because I thought pig oil must come from pigs so Sunny would smell like a rancid bacon sandwich in hot weather. Er - NOOO! Can't remember who it was that told me pig oil no more comes from a pig than baby oil comes from a baby. PSML! Tell your teacher x
