dont know, but i do know Leo rolls EVERY day, in the muddest part of the field, and makes sure he gets his face well and truley covered as well!!!

my pony has pelvis problems but rolls all the way over every single day without fail...

They told me when I was buying my first pony that they were worth more if they could get right over, but I think the same bloke told me to feed it a dry cigarette to get rid of worms too!!!

As I got older I came to the conclussion that I prefer ones that can't roll right over as they don't get as dirty!!

We had a section A that could grab a mouthful of grass on its way over! She was a sweet itcher and a grade A roller.

Personally I think its just down to how much effort they feel like putting into it..

Yes I've heard this too: think the £££ amount varies a bit according to regional variations!! I've always heard it was 100 guineas!

Mine rolls all the way.. Mums mare with a kissing spine, does one side then the other.. Alrhough after a recent trip to a super osteo rolled all the way over.

Both mine roll right over,my big lad can roll over then roll over the other way and back to where he started.I was told £50 for each time they go over,ive got to £200 so far,spose its a game to play when watching them in the field lol.

I hav another old broodie who rolls over and back for Ireland. All her foals did it too. They are perennially filthy. they have great skin though, I suspect it may have nothing to do with the regular mudpacks though!!

Well my mare is 27 Spondolosis if the spine and arthritic and overweight and still rolls right over so that puts that theory out! Lol x

OH old girl always rolls all the way over. When she started having strange behavioural issues when ridden she stopped doing this, and it turned out to be kissing spine, post op she now rolls all the way over again. Its def something to watch, especially if your horse stops doing it when it has done so.
In racing they always say they are going to win if they go all the way over when rolling

Interesting post. Seren always rolled right over, and I am yet to see Nell roll, I have seen her laid down plenty but no rolling witnessed yet, be interesting to see if she is an all the way over girl, given how supple she is I expect she will go all the way over, we shall see...

My two dun boys ( cob x and NF) roll all the time . I've never seen my coloured cob roll ever.
