Ok, message from yard owner mum at 7 this morning, somehow a pony who penny hates. Got into her turnout, how no one knows how, and kicked hell out of penny and on her effort to get away penny has kicked through fence and tore all skin off hock and stiffle , she is stiff and sore, by chance vet was at yard to a horse who came in on 3 legs at same time, not connected at all thank the lord, he looked and said not stichable, keep it clean and doses with pain and antibiotics bute for tonight. Poor horsey, she is 19 and arthritic and this is her good hock.
Heeling vibes please. X

The same thing happened to a horse at my yard. He was turned out with a horse that is a known bully and kicker and who usually lives on his own (but can see other horses over the fence). Poor horse broke down the gate trying to get out. Luckily he only has minor cuts.

I hope Penny feels better soon! Give her a nice cuddle and a treat (if she's allowed!) from me :)

To make you feel better, bunnies are just as much hassle in fact more sometimes, particularly when they eat your cables to the TV and Sky box!!

I'll second that, ours escaped from its run last night, and instead of doing the decent thing and buggering off into the woods, it stayed and has chewed all my plants! It is now sunning itself on the patio, refusing to be caught!
Hope your poor horse is feeling better soon x
