Horses still out 24/7 - what rug

My id is naked and will be for a while and my tb is out in a lw no fill. If it drops below 10 he's in his mw but the id ripped it last night and had no time to repair it and it's not even a week old so don't want it ripping even more!! They forecast 11 tonight so he will be okay and fields very sheltered!!

One is in a lightweight and the other naked.

It's going to be warm for the next week or so (poss up to 20 degrees), so I don't want them in anything too heavy just yet, it's only September. Put them in thick rugs now and they'll have nothing to go up to when it gets seriously chilly! Mine stay out for majority of the year bar bad weather/depths of winter!

TB - \hW+MW at night, MW in day - she is losing weight in anything less and has been wormed, is fed etc - has always been like that.
WBx - LW rug if it rains, still muzzled.
NFx and Fellx - nothing! Both muzzled as too much grass!

Mine are in 70g with necks. Our current overnight temps are between 9c to 12c with frequent squally showers.
I try to delay rugging too heavily until winter is seriously on it's way. My two (both tbx's live out with 24hr access to their stables/ shelter) and normally don't go beyond 300g in the depth of winter unless particularly stormy and cold so I don't want to up the rugs just yet. However I am led by how they feel on a day to day basis- and will up the thickness of rugs depending on how they feel.

My cob is naked and will stay that way, my TB is in a medium weight, only because she lost loads of weight in the summer and is only back up to proper weight so she will be coddled this year!

Nothing on my boys yet. I hope to keep then naked as long as possible as 2 are shetties, 2 are new forests, 1 is a fell and 1 is a irish sports. The sports horse loses condition so considering his lightweight soon if it drops chilly, they all live out so do not want to rug too early as i want them to feel the benefit. They all have access to a huge field shelter though so can get out the elements x

Mine are out 24/7 without rugs im in the East of England and the weather is still warm their coats have got fluffy and they are only having a bit of hay of an night time I have moved the field shelter into the menege (my winter turnout) and they wander in there during the night they all seem happy and warm at the moment & im hoping to keep them out as long as possible.

Mine is naked unless we are forcast prolonged rain.

He is easily able to cope with a shower

However id I had a more sensitive type I would put a light to middleweight on over night and in the day if wet.

I see a couple of you have heavy weights on at night...... have you clipped??????

What on earth do you put on your horse when it is down to minus figures??

Both of mine are wearing no fill standard neck rainsheets. That's a 2 yr old BWB who grows a coat a highland pony would be proud of and an IDxWB 13 yr old who's not clipped yet. I live in Glasgow and the weather has been horrible recently but I'm not prepared yet to step rugs up as we are forecast a horrific winter and I need to keep the big rugs for the snow etc.

mine is wearing a 50g rug with a no fill neck attached, he is a wussy TB when it rains but i will admit the neck has gone on as he is pretty dirty as soon as we get rain- think hippo!! So to be able ride him he needs a neck on! He will be clipped in next few weeks and will go to a HW with lycra hood.

The majority are naked still apart from a couple with LWs on, i hang off rugging as long as possible as they live out all year so a bit of fluff does them no harm plus if we do get another big freeze, then they can still move up a notch rug wise.
