My TB loves cobs,Her little younger coblet field mate she adores, they run around playing all day.
When i take her out and we come across anything that isnt a cob she happily goes on by. However, if its a cob we see she goes mad to get to them and starts whickering to them, she did take a fancy to a coloured stallion gypsy cob the other week when she spotted him coming down the road!
The pony and coblet hate miniature ponies/shetlands, they shake when they see them!

Anyone elses horses take a particular fancy to any other breeds?

But she also loves coloured horses. She came from a rescue centre and I am told that when she was first brought in as a youngster, she paired up with a coloured cob orphan foal, so perhaps that is where it stems from. I met the coloured when it was a bit older, and I reckon that's where Millie got her attitude from!

My mare is terrified of felabella's!
She's the most hardiest, hardnut horse ever! Yet put one of those in front of her and she peggs it, bloody hilarious!

My Dad's mare is a dreadful tart, but she is fussy. She does not like anything cobby and hates greys and coloureds. She is really quite horrid to horses she doesen't fancy. She has put me off mares somewhat.

My Belle is scared to death of Shetlands, she is a 16hh ID, she snorts, trotts on the spot & tends to gives them a wide berth when passing.

She will go past dogs/cats/sheep etc no bother but Shetlands are a no no! just dont get it, silly mare

^^ mine the same hates shetlands i came off her the once as she had a paddy when met a loose shetland out riding - he had escaped from his field - i came off hung onto her and as i wouldnt let her run away she decided she was going to kill the shetland instead and turned into a stallion - she arched her neck lunged at it, it ran luckily i called the YO to come and catch it - every time we tried to move on it followed so i had to try to wait but keep it at distance as she was leaping around trying to lunge, rear and get it with her hooves and then swinging round trying to kick it - never seen her like that before - very odd!!!

Another one who's terrified of miniatures - he absolutely kakked his pants when he met the minature at our old yard and tried to leg it back to his field! Every time we went past it for about 10 days he pranced past, snorting, silly boy!

Stinky likes everyone - wants to be their best friend and this can get him into trouble. He adores shetlands and other tiny tims - he will pull at me to get to them as he wants to love and groom them. He also adores foals.

Cairo liked small ponies to groom and also had an eye for a nice quality bay mare - again to groom. He was nervous round large horses until he got to know them.

I have also noticed a lot of coloureds seem to like other coloureds.

Farra - seems to like most folks, as long as they don't threaten Stinky as she then turns into a very protective big sister and will give them her heels and see them off.

My old mare would always pal up with a grey mare if there was one on the yard.

She was also very partial to small ponies and donkeys. In fact there was a shetland in the field next to her that she was obsessed with. One day I turned up at the yard to find him sheltering from the rain under her tummy!

She used to drive the donkey mad by following her all the time. The donkey would try and escape by standing over the very low overhanging branches and bushes and Bri would try and crawl in on her knees behind her.

My tb is petrified of shetlands, not keen on ponies and has a dislike of anything coloured. He was bred and trained for racing and hadn't left the place he was born until I got him so I don't think hes really met ponies and coloureds before.

my chestnut sec d mare has a huge thing for bay geldings about 16-17hh, particularly TBs.
she's been in love 3 times and we've moved to our own place, one of her boys welly lives up the road and she proper flirts whenever we go past!

I did read/hear that horses are attracted to any horse the same colour as their dam.

Certainly true for my chestnut arab, he goes positively dewy over grey mares, the same colour as his mum. Horse with an Oedipus complex maybe?
