What are you feeding your horses that are out 24/7 and how are you keeping your water buckets unfrozen with all this snow??
Smashing the ice and REMOVING (very important!) the ice and topping up, all you can do! All horses was warm enough and get good food and lots of hay, it's the only thing you can do!
Feeding lots and lots of hay, nothing else yet. With water, I'm wheelbarrowing up very hot water three times a day to go in the water trough. Because it's so hot, it stops it freezing for a few hours. It's killing me though - it's too heavy to carry and too heavy to push through the snow![]()
