Horses with cool names...

Following on from the "What's in a name" feature that runs in H&H every week...does anyone have a horse with a clever/funny show name?

I thought "Usain Colt" was pretty good, shame they never called Frankel that!!

only one I can think of just now is a horse I used to ride sometimes for my equine science course at uni: He was called H.G.V. and he really was!

He wasn't

The story went that as a youngster he belonged to an older farmer who wanted to hack along at the back of the field out hunting, Usety didn't agree, hence 'he's bloody useless'

I love my sister's horse's name. Because XC commentators always screw up and say "Something's Up, Alice xxxx".... And then realise how badly they've gone wrong

Ours isnt clever or funny (but original owner must have thought so) his name is Dodgy and he's so not.

I have had liveries on yard in past with some comic names the worst being Bianca and Barabra who swiftly got shortened to B and Babs lol

That can't be a coincidence, as I have also come across a small grey arab mare called Peabrain!!!! She was at a riding holiday centre when I was about 14 (so about 15 years ago now)

I came up with Ima Pixie in the end!

There used to be a race horse in Aus called Waikikamukau (pronounced why-kick-a-moo-cow, its actually the name of an town in NZ) - He was actually quite successful, which I imagine they hadn't forseen when they named him that.

He was a punters favourite!

once for a laugh entered a show and changed my horses show name so the commentator read out:
'and next in the ring is Rebecca ***** riding Stark Naked'
Love it may have to be the official show name for my next horse

My buckskin has a silly name on his passport - I won't change his equally silly (and related) stable name as its bad luck, but this I can get away with changing his competition name since he is 3 and is yet to compete. He'll be called "in the nude"
