We have decided they are suffering from small child brain syndrome

To put it simply, imagian a small kid, trying to fit shapes through the right holes, they get one wrong they throw a tantrum, yes? :P
Our horses are very like this

The most common tantrum is the well known i want sweets one :P
They throw the tantrum until we are so embarressed and cave in

So anyone else have horses like this? Lol

Darcy likes to stare very hard at whatever the object in question is, until either his brain pops , or his non-stop begging just gets on my nerves!

Last week I told Don we'd have a lesson and start jumping, this week I didn't get a chance to book a lesson - he spent all week sulking "you told me we were going to jump!"

Also he has to taste everything I take into the stable. Doesn't bite or chew, just grabs it and holds it ...

Do they make strait-jackets for horses?

my mare has a severe grade 1 version of that condition. she thinks i'm hiding some horsey paradise from her and one day i'll give in and admit to her she is the only horse in the world who is requested to leave her field and work for an hour!

My coloured horse really struggles with gates, he doesn't understand that when i open it he is meant to go through it, he just keeps moving backwards with the gate as it swings open, then suddenly it will click and he'll go through like nothing happened!

Definitely. New boy especially pulls some pretty dramatically horrific faces when walking up to the arena (he has a fantastic scowl!) and will throw his toys out of the pram if not allowed to go at his preferred speed (warp factor 50

)
Other boy, when coming in from the field when it's hot, drags his feet and stays as far away as the lead rope allows just to let you know he's p*ssed off

i tell myself i love horses with character, and it does make me laugh, but some days i could do without the amateur dramatics

Lobelia_Overhill- my new boy also does the 'tasting' thing! just grabs it, holds it in his mouth whilst giving you the 'evil eye' lol, then lets it go once he's satisfied
