Am just wondering really (obviously quite bored!) My mare is coloured with four white legs, I don't actually wash them very often in summer unless in preparation for a show they get washed once or twice the week leading up then on the day. But the everyday grass stains and stuff that can't get brushed off don't really bother me, what do other people do?

Never

ETA would wash before a compettion, if they were dirty

I brush them every day, and I wash her white tail once a week so wash her legs then too.

Its also the only time I use coat sheen, as I put it on her legs in winter to help the mud slide off, she has fully clipped/trimmed out legs and heels

I have one with four white socks and they only get washed if a) I'm bored and the weathers good (chances of those two happening together are almost nil!)
b) We have to go anywhere
c) The farriers coming - he's scary and they have to be spotless (am currently looking for new farrier

Thats alright them!! I was thinking you will all turn round and say once a week at least you scruff-bag!!! My horse likes the natural look, and when they are clean and really white they look really weird, too bright to look at almost!

Looks like you work really hard at this washing lark

I do Star's white tail and feather before a show. About once a fortnight in the summer.
As little as I can get away with in the winter.

Only before a going out but even then don't always bother because he wears boots for sj and xc, sometimes i do for dressage depends how bad he is and mines a grey!
