Hello, just wondered if anyone has seen the ice vibe boots advertised and what your thoughts on them are, I event and I'm very tempted to invest in a pair for after XC. All thoughts welcomed. :)

I have watched the you tube advert, I think i will wait until one of the big 4*s to see if they have them to try and maybe some offers. Although still unsure if you can beat good old clay and brown paper. and nearly 200 for a set is a fairly big layout.

Well you can definitely beat clay and brown paper! Been shown to heat up the legs, last I heard Team GB were banned from using it several years ago. Best thing you can use is ice/ice boots and cold water. That's why all these cool boots have come on the market - companies don't make much money if you ditch all the preparations and just use iced water!!

I like the look of them too - but am somewhat sceptical about how/why vibrations would help with warmup of an area with virtually no muscle/blood supply. I want to know more about how they work and what tests have been done.

There is a school of thought which says that all these vibration devices like massage pads etc work by causing the nerves to fire so rapidly that they then stop firing, essentially masking any pain rather than providing a warmup as such.

The Ice-Vibes are amazing I have a pair and absolutely love them. Use them every day on a variety of horses after a variety of different types of work
