Horseware Rugs

Looking at medium weight turnouts (that time of year again), and like an Amigo one.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you need to order a size larger with Horsewear, anyone know if thats correct?

I bought 2 amigo's last year and I went up a size. Normally my mare takes a 6'6" and the horseware rugs are 6'9". Hope that helps.

Dont think thats the case. In my experience they have fitted true to size. Nice rugs too.

Amigos come up small - they're less generously cut across the shoulders than Rhinos which are more generous - but not as good as Rambos (you get what you pay for!)

I like the Weatherbeeta - true to size and well cut & good value for money too

im in love with horsewear rugs, especially the amigos.

My mares a 5'9 and 5'9 amigos fit her perfectly! And shes a chunky girl, especially across the shoulders!

i have an amigo which i bought in one bigger and it looks like it fits my boy fine but it rubs his shoulders i wish i would have got his normal size now

I go up a size in the Horseware turnout rugs, Amigos and Rhinos. I find that they are a better fit on mine than the Weatherbeetas are. Indoor horseware rugs, I buy their regular size.

Think it depends on the horse. My boy is a 6'3" in Weatherbeeta and i thought i had snagged a bargain Amigo only had 6'6" though, sadly it was way to big for him but lucky for my friend it fitted her horse fine and was his normal size.

I've found a nice brand new one on ebay (love ebay), but wasn't sure which size to order.
Think I'll ring Horseware tomorrow. Thanks everyone

I can't do the fronts up on either of my cobs, but they fit my 14hh "blood horse cross" ***** pony a treat!! I would say don't bother if you have a big shouldered cob type.
