Horseware Wash Bag - any good?

Ive got a cheap copy & its my best horsy investment, stuff washes fine & hair stays in bag quick shake outside & its clean.. they come in different sizes, make sure you get 1 big enough.

I have a giant orange bag from Amazon. My saddlecloths clean really well and all the white hair stays in the bag. I hang it out to dry inside out and give it a shake. I'm going to see if my under rug will fit in the machine today

I don't use protection for my washing machine!

I didn't either until it cost me a new washing machine. Now the big orange bag (hyper drug about £17) seems like a very good investment,

I have washed 4 fly rugs so far this week and my machine has been safe.

I have one of the orange bags and its very good

If you really cram stuff in to them then in to the drum they don't allow enough movement for things to get clean so do buy one big enough and don't overestimate the room in your machine

The Horseware bags are zipped, which prevents the items being washed from escaping, which is a big plus cf pillow cases and duvet covers. I was a bit :eek3: at the cost, but they do the job well. Been washing Rambo lite turnout rugs this weeks in one (one rug at a time!), and it's kept everything where it should be.

I've got a similar version, in fact I have two, a large one (fits a couple of numnahs or a rug) and a small one (fits girths, girth sleeves, tail bandages, hi viz etc). Very handy and I have to clean the filter out a lot less than before I started using them. I also wash some of my husbands work clothes in them if they are exceptionally soiled.

I have two washing machines, one for work clothes (we both work on a farm), horse stuff and really dirty items and one for underwear and 'good' clothes. My house had a space for a washing machine and separate dryer so we just put an additional bit of plumbing in to get two washing machines - if you have space I highly recommend doing the same as you can pick second hand machines up for very little money.

My boss bought an ex commercial washer (only slightly bigger than a normal one) and washes 7ft stable rugs in it. saves her a fortune on rug washing and her horse's rugs are immaculate
