Horsewear Micklem bridles

I have one and really like it. I use as a bitted bridle and have lunged in it. I haven't used the bitless options, but the quality is great and the 2 bitless options look really good (Dr Cook style or side pull). I like the padded headpiece and the innovative shape for comfort. My mare had teeth issues so for me it was really important to make her bridle a really comfortable fit.
You can use the noseband as a cavesson or drop - I hadn't realised that until I saw a friend using it as a cavesson and it works for either. I would give it 10/10 for quality and versatility. :)

I have one and I found the fitting is not great for the larger headed pony or cob, I had to put in extra holes and the noseband only just does up with extra holes and you only have the drop noseband option. There is no way I could use the noseband as a cavasson it is no where near big enough.

However I do like it.

Thanks for replies, my ponies both headshake, one possibly due to pollen but think the comfort of this bridle especially the padded headpiece and the bitless options is only going to help them.

The ponies in question are a 14hh NF and a 14.3hh sec D x TB, both have similarly sized heads, so am thinking the pony/cob one would be best to go for?

SO1, how big/what breed is your horse that the pony/cob one doesn't fit to well?

I have one for both Spaniards who are fussy around their ears. They wear the standard horse size, and it it fits them both well - one has broad head and the other is long and narrow. They both are more willing to take a contact too. one of them ducks behind the contact and the other leans. They both have improved with this - they have both been lunged in it as well. interesting that it has been used as a cavesson - i dont think the straps are long enough on mine - i'll have to have a look!
Bit disappointed with the quality of the leather though for the price - took an awful lot of softening,

I bought mine two and a half years ago and I love it! It looks really smart and it still looks good even after lots of use! I use it mostly with the bit but do occasionally use the bit less option if off road and not in company as my mare bucks! I use it on my daughter's pony for lunging too! My mare is 15hh so I went for the cob size and it fits perfectly!

I am afraid I have a 13.2 a new forest - i bought him the small horse sized one and I think I would have been better off with the largest one they have! The problem is his nose very wide.
