There is one this weekend at local equestrian centre, I have some stuff to sell so considering going. Have never been to a horsey one before so a few questions before I decide. Basically do people go expecting rock bottom prices or do they expect to pay say £25 on a decent 2nd hand turnout rug etc. I've sold on ebay & forums so know what sort of prices to ask. Any thoughts/advice/experiences to share

prices vary at each one, I would start off with your highest price but encourage people to haggle thats what I would do, also you can always drop your prices towards the end.

A friend and I did a car boot recently and to be honest not great for selling good quality stuff. We found peope just wanted a cheapy bargain which is fair enough. I would take all of your cheaper stuff and sell the good rugs on Ebay. The stuff I didn't sell there as I wasn't prepared to take rock bottom prices I then sold on Ebay and got really good prices.

:)

I find I do better at an ordinary carboot rather than a horsey one! Like me, people want bargains and won't pay what you would really like for your gear! So I go to them, but actually flog my stuff elsewhere.

Good luck!

...and yes, where is it?? :D
