I've had a very nice day, now at home sat on the sofa with the OH watching Dr Who.

OH has bought a new bridle for my oldest horse! Harley had snapped (don't ask!) his original hackamore, he certainly doesn't need a bit when ridden but I hadn't bought a new hackamore so he's been making do in his old Pelham, OH has bought a cross over/side pull complete with reins. It's nothing fancy and is nice and workmanlike, very pleased and not at all expected and I do like a nice surprise so Very happy. I know he'll be fine in it as I have occasionally hacked him out in a headcollar with reins buckled onto it!

My dad bought me a helmet cam... which isn't much good to me any more as my horse has just been retired, so now I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do with it :o...

Christmas has always been about what the horses need this year I asked for things for myself :) Don't regret it the pony needs nothing currently and my birthday comes not long after christmas if I do realise I need something :D Also my OH is rubbish at surprises, he tried to surprised me with team Mclaren membership but 2 days before goes, shall I get this for you (totally ruined the surprise lol!!)

My loaner, who today bought dublin for herself... ( I sold him to her) got me a canvas print Of my horses from pictures from this last years shows... So much thought gone into it. I bought her a new personalise headcolar for her "new horse" and next weekend we move dublin to her college stables so he will be there with her.
She has waited two years to be able to afford to buy him.

My amazing non horsey boyfriend bought me some ariat bromonts. I've wanted some for a long time unfortunately they are far too tight on my calves so are having to be returned :-( hopefully the non insulated ones should be a comfortable fit :-)

I got a Theraflex air filled saddle pad - I had trialled one & knew P went far better in it, so was going to get him one after Christmas, but didn't expect to unwrap one on Christmas Day!

Lovely soft leather head collar with engraved name plate from my horsey friend - really thoughtful present and she even got his racing name rather than his stable name so did her research! Just so happened a new head collar was on my list but I never mentioned it to her and had decided I couldn't afford one for myself as crashed my car a couple of weeks ago so no spare cash. Also got the most delicious smelling saddle soap from another friend - smells like marzipan which I love! Horsey will be best smelling most stylish steed on the yard!

A beautiful painted portrait of my horse :D

My bro got a go pro & was thinking of putting it on the headpiece of bridle for eventing - think that would be legal? No risk to rider then :)

Oh got me this ( he knows me so well!)

and my mum has very much spoiled me and got me the World horse Welfare Hermes scarf!

I was thoroughly spoilt this year!

My parents got me a lovely John Whitaker Lunge cavesson and training system (their version of a pessoa). I had no idea! :) I really wanted some lunging gear but couldn't justify it for myself.

My best friend got my favourite picture of my boy printed on a canvas. It's so lovely.

My brother got his friend to paint that same picture for me (as he knows I love it) and it's stunning! Captures Mylo so beautifully!

I was thoroughly spoilt by my friends and family and to top it all they all seem to have loved their gifts just as much!

Not tack etc, I really don't need anything ;)

My lovely daughter found this print, not Zeus, but his doppelganger, I love it.

Loads!! My totally nonhorsy parents got me a black le mieux fly veil with diamontes on it for competing, which I'm thrilled with, and my boss got me a gel lined girth which I'm shocked but so chuffed about!! My HHOSS got me a new pair of gloves and ear warmers amongst my pressies too which I'm well chuffed about!! :)

Basically we done good :)

My dad bought me a helmet cam... which isn't much good to me any more as my horse has just been retired, so now I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do with it :o...

Use it as a dash cam in your car. Trust me i work in car insurance dealing with claims and cant believe everyone doesn't have one! You'd be surprised how many people get faulted for a accidents which probably are not their fault but we just cant prove it.

Omg it's a minor Christmas miracle!!!!!!! I have just been handed two extra presents! Both of them horse riding tops......both fit!!!!! To make it even more weird one is an Ariat dressage top, it fits, the first time anything from Ariat has fit me .....!
What's the world coming to!! ;)

A lovely snuggly pair of Mountain Horse waterproof trousers with a sticky bum for riding. Love love love, almost wishing for the temp to drop so I can try them out.....almost ;)

Four lessons from my dressage instructor. Am absolutely blown away. In fact I burst into tears and forgot to say thank you with a kiss.

I don't have my own horse here - _GG_ has him to help keep the grass in her fields down and keep Mickey, Otto and Sid company. I have been riding the YO's little Connie who is an ex broodmare. My instructor, of whom I can speak no negatives, she is quite simply the best instructor I have ever had when it comes to stressage, said a few weeks ago that she didn't see why we couldn't get at least to elementary level, so feeling really rather chuffed, I told my husband. He has been in cahoots with my instructor and they've sorted out my lessons for the next 8 weeks. I have never asked him to contribute to horsey things, as he just about pays for everything else and my meagre salary just about covers livery and the odd weekly shop, so I am absolutely blown away.

A girl at our yard had her much loved loan horse bought for her by her mother, she even wrapped him in paper!!! Total Surprise!!!! Wonderful mother and very, very, very happy daughter. It doesn't come much better than this :) :)

My wonderful YO bought me a head torch and torch set, they're LED and everything. Not much, but they're definitely needed as I just haven't got around to replacing the one that broke last winter!

Also, OH bought me a lovely brooch shaped like a horse- not really a brooch person, but I put it on the coat that I only wear for best and he was chuffed :)
