Do you have any equine clothing that transfers into nornal life too? I don't mean wearing your jods to the shops and the likes ?

I have a tweed waistcoat that I show in in summer when it's too hot for a full jacket which I also wear on nights out to the pub and for dinner. It has had many compliments.

I have a couple of ariat tops that I’ve worn to the pub etc. Like base layers but a bit more of a pattern to them, so less sporty looking and quite flattering.

Skinny jeans - live in these so I just change footwear (still stink covered in crap) I’ve got the cheaper, stretchy ones so they are comfy to ride in. “Proper” jeans dig in.

fancy running leggings - again, ride in these in summer. Cheaper than riding tights and I prefer them without a sticky bum.

my civilian clothes go to the yard, nothing is safe with me.
i must add I’m not exactly a snazzy dresser, I have an outdoorsy job and my “going out clothes” aren’t that posh.
I haven’t worn a pair of proper shoes for at least 10 years, I wore dr martens to get married in.

I saw someone the other week with a really REALLY nice ariat top on. Black and spotty with a lacy bits - I would have definitely worn this to the pub also!

I often go to work in skinny jeans so I can just change shoes and top if necessary and get on with stuff at the yard, apart from dog walking in fleece jodphurs if it's raining or snowing that's probably it. It's much more often to be the other way round, "normal" clothes tend to get converted to horse / yard clothes - and no I've never ridden in trousers from a work suit or once a wrap dress as had left my jods at home - horses are always visited on the way home from work as are normally on the route.

I've got a Toggi tweed field jacket that I wore for in hand showing and a long Dubarry tweed coat that I wore for LR classes , both of which I also wear for stewarding and for going out to non horsey events ( shopping , pub etc ) . Also have a Joules tweed waistcoat and a white ' lead rein ' shirt with a frilly collar that does double duty for horsey/non horsey events . I had a lovely Lucinda Green navy cloth dressage/hunting jacket with silver buttons that I wore over a dress to go to a wedding when I needed a matching blazer , and the navy hat I bought to go with the outfit was subsequently used for showing and stewarding .

I wear my long waterproof riding coat for dog walking, rainy days outdoors, etc. Long Toggi boots likewise. I've worn my tweed jacket on a night out (once).
Most things are separate though, not least because OH has a nasty allergy and comes out in hives and streaming eyes if I don't have a shower and full change when I finish the horses!

Working from home this has made the whole clothing thing a lot easier ! I have muck out clothes and then change into some sweaty beaty leggings & a polo shirt to work. I wash when I get a waft of horse bedding past my nose, the gauge to that it must be bad if I can smell it.

I dread the day I have to go back in the office as not worn office appropriate outfits since March ! mmm will they fit any more LOL

I have an old brown tweed I have worn with jeans to the pub a few times, it's a really old one that I picked up second hand in a tack shop for £20.

I have a lot of joules gillets and bodywarmers that I wear for normal outings.

Generally I keep my horse wardrobe and life wardrobe completely separate - but lockdown has changed all of that!!

I went 6 months without even putting on a pair of jeans. Even now I'm back in the office (solo mostly) I am living in sportswear that can go from office to riding to working out without changing.

Gone are the days of sorting out 3 outfits for the next day before I go to bed! On the rare occasions I see friends or see people in the office I will go back to normal clothes but I'm all for an easy life tbh.

That said - if I buy a nice Pikeur or similar coat it will be a non horse coat for a year or two before it gets downgraded!

You know they say dress for the job you want not the job you've got, I've been known to turn up for my office job in skinny jeans that are wearing at the crotch from me riding in them, a pocket full of poo bags, dog treats and string
I also wear my tweed jacket with jeans to go out in

I have a large collection of noble tops that have never been near a horse :p, a couple go cycling instead as the body length is great.- they have exactly the same neck as a cycle jersey just with an extra loop for a stock tie lol.
When I first acquired my grasmeres they were delivered to work and others wanted them to go to the pub in them
Most of my coats are now general wear as they only horse occasionally.

Not really. I have some Under Armour half zip tops that I might wear while walking the dog, but that's as far as I'll go.

I wear breeches, tall socks, a horsey style belt (has bits on it), and a polo, t-shirt, half-zip/base layer typically. These just don't transfer to my normal life.

I have:

House clothes
Dog walking clothes
Yard/riding clothes
Casual public clothes
Posh public/work clothes
Gym clothes
Working on the car or garden clothes

I have a problem. :p

I am the same! Clothes have a specific purpose and don't mix ? e.g. I have separate Ariats for the field, for riding and for the pub. On a normal day I get changed a lot...

I will check the horses on the way to work in my work clothes (with wellies and a long coat) but only if I'm counting legs from a distance and not actually 'doing' anything - if I'm haying or changing rugs then I wear a tracksuit over the top of my work clothes or get changed afterwards.

I only need to look at the youngsters to be covered in mud, slobber, grass smears and hay strands so my professional/'social life' wardrobes are separated out of necessity.

Same!

The second I exit my car at the yard, I'm dirty. Then there is the horse smell that attaches itself to everything.

I'll often do laundry and it will be all of my clothes and none/barely any from OH, and he always tells me it is because I wear so many clothes in one day :p

He's not wrong.

I have same problem as cantering carrot...lots of clothes for different situations and I dont have enough space anymore to live like this...I need to downsize my wardrobe (s) !!
