Would love to know all the horsey diy's everyone has made! Bailing twine haynets, horse shoe crafts, fly spray, horse treats...throw them all at me! :D

We make the usual fly sptray & have done for years. I made the mounting block we use, it's handy for plaiting off aswell. I fitted our energiser & battery into an aluminium commercial food storage bin & the lid padlocks down & then it's chained to a tree. I've had these items stolen in the past so hopefully unless thieves come with bolt croppers it should be safe. :)

I remember making a hay net out of baler twine. That was many years ago as a teenager though, wish I still had that much free time!!!

I think the best DIY we did was to convert the inside of a shipping container into a fully fledged secure tack / equipment store. And all without being able to drill into the sides as the container itself is rented. All done with suspension cables and beam supports we have a total of 5 bulldog racks, storage for 8 bridles, about 20 other hooks for spare reins, leathers, lunging stuff and all the other gumph. A whip store. 6 huge deep shelves for rugs; each one will take 6 or 7 rugs depending on weight. 6 bins of feed, a working surface (although usually covered in bottles, bits of stuff and other horsey mess) a high locakable medicine store for controlled medication and a lower set of racking for shampoo, wormer, salt and all those sorts of things. And space for 15 bales of hay.... Plus it is locked and fully alarmed.

How? My OH. How men know how to do these things is beyond me. It took him just under a single day and all done with salvage / reclaim so the total cost was under £50 for some specialist bolt thingys and the hooks. (And the Bulldog racks I suppose - but we already had them!) I've never seen anything so impressive - or useful. Envy of the yard....
