Hi
Can you remember your first wistful visions of being with horses? What were they?
Thanks for sharing, and sorry for random questions, I was just wondering :)

Similar to Lara B...my dream horse was a 16hh bay Arab Olympic showjumper (lol) called Marley- I now share a small, slightly overweight, hairy piebald cob. :D

I always wanted to be an eventer. I wanted a chestnut with four white socks and a blaze. I wanted to keep it in my garden (I had a big garden, but not that big!) with a small pony for company, maybe a black one. :)

I was always completely besotted. I had millions of breyer horses and I always pretended they were real!! I liked the plain looking ones strangely, I always wanted a bay tb gelding, and that is what I have now :)

my interest in horses only started when i was 11 so i didnt have any real childhood horsey dreams but i always wanted a big coloured gelding who could show me the ropes, i wanted to ride round tweseldown, go hunting and Jump a big hedge!

I then got a Bay yearling filly, but who has already made two of the three dreams come true at just 5 yo :)

Same..
Oops was meant to quote that, I also wanted an arab like Shanti or the black stallion, now have a coloured cob

Fantasies based off of the Black Stallion and Shantih as well.

totally off topic but I'm 30 and I get mocked for eating Rusks!

I saw the grand national .. When I was 7 .. And begged and begged my non horsey folks to let me ride ..for my 8th birthday I was granted one riding lesson .. And just never stopped !! (Now 31) my parents still don't understand my passion for horses and I guess they never will .. I'm a riding instructor now ..and when training mother said 'please just get a real job and stop messing about with horses , if u were going to make it as a rider you would have done it by now ' ( she thinks if u r not riding at the Olympics u shouldn't waste your time ) ... What the hell ?? :p they have never been to any comps with me (started competing at 11 years old) and tbh probably don't even know my ponies name ( owned him 4 years ) lucky for me OH is the opposite .. Comes to every show , and behind me every step of the way :)
