Horsey estate agent recommendations

Looks like I'm going to have to sell my little piece of horsey heaven in the new year :(

Any recommendations for horsey estate agents or good experiences as a buyer (feel free to PM me bad experiences too as it's helpful to know who to avoid!)

Lincolnshire if that makes a difference.

East Anglia Equestrian didn't bother to tell us that the people we were buying from had lost the house that *they* were buying. So we were expecting a moving date, & only found out by pure chance that the chain had broken down as we happened to be competing at the same venue as the people we were buying from, & o/h overheard one of them on the phone.

That was in 2005 tho, so possibly different people work there now.

Sorry you're having to sell if it's not what you want :-(

We bought through Rural Scene who were really helpful throughout what turned out to be a very long drawn out process. They chased the sellers for us on numerous occasions and kept us updated.
 
Graham at Rural and Equestrian was very helpful when I was trying to sell my place, (and failed :( , market crash, house way too big). Reasonably local to Lincs too.

Smiths gore will value and sell your property, they do not just sell top end. Their agency office is in Stamford - give them a call, very friendly bunch :)
 
Personally be avoiding fox grant and rural scene.....or at least take them with a pinch of salt! found they were difficult to deal with on occasions and sometimes very unhelpful from a buyers point of view (even with a sold property!)
 
Hmm not the first person to mention rural scene isn't that helpful to buyers - but they do get lots of good national coverage and most people looking do know about them! tricky

There is also masons, they sell a lot around Lincolnshire and have an equestrian section, I've always found them easy to deal with.
