I have been clearing out my stuff ready for my yard move and am getting my first aid box back together, what do I need and are there any secret alternatives to things....?

Thanks for your help

Thats a bit too general a question really! First aid boxes tend to grow and spread as you find you need something that you didn't have!

For me - dressings - lots in different sizes, vet wrap, hibi scrub or similar. Saxa table salt. Cotton wool. (Yes I know you're not supposed to have it - but it is very useful!) Thermometer. tweezers. Scissors. Dermolene or equivalent. sachet or 2 of electrolytes. sun cream (grey ponies!) Arnica gel. tea tree oil.

Then whatever else you had to get for other emergencies that just ends up in there.....

Nappies are also great to have around, great to use as poultices, plus if you have a difficult horse you can just fasten it up quickly with the sticky bits on the nappy.

Gloves to :-)

Sorry I really should have been more specific in the original post. Thanks alot for you responses.

I will go and buy myself some nappies and hope the OH doesnt get any funny ideas :D
