Due to horsey having issues with fieldmates in present field (or more like there having issues with her) she will be moving fields and therefore has to come in (these horses come in)
I'm looking at rugs. I have one stable rug at the moment, used it for layering under her t/o rugs(was out 24/7).
I was thinking about getting a full neck lightweight stable rug and using the other stable rug to layer for a medium weight rug?
Just to add, she's fully clipped!
Sorry it's a bit of an akward/ daft question. would just like to know peoples opinions/advice on it

You can use breathable turnout rugs as stable rugs. I think that a lot of HW TO's are not breathable, hence the thing about LW or MW being OK.

I simply relegate TO rugs to 'stable rug' status when they become tatty, saves loads of money!

That sounds fine i dont use thick stable rugs i prefer to layer. I also use old duvets and blankets to add extra layers in the very cold weather. If you use the older stable rug in both the stable and field then it prevents a cold rug going onto the horse though it is handy to have a spare incase it gets wet!.
