What a week it has been! My horse hs decided that it is now clever to jump out of his field. He has never done this before and much to my dismay he has chosen the gated with the worst possible run up and landing spot! Twice he did it this week! the First time i thought it was because he was in a patch of the field on his own (although this has not bothered him in the past as he can still sniff the other horses over the electric tape) So two days later i decided to put him out with a mare and a gelding and nope that still wasnt good enough he jumped the metal gate in the fog and came back to the stable!!

Now the annoying thing is i actually moved yards for nicer turnout! the feilds are in the valley and they are lovely and lush and we have over 700 acres to play with! Sods law he would rather be in his stable! think i will give it until the spring and try him again when the weather is warmer. Sorry for the essay guys but i just have no answers to this

and it was on. Miraculously there is not one scratch on him! im scared to put him out now. i think now he realises he can do it he thinks he is clever! im petrified he will hurt himself! Im taking him hunting wed

Oh dear.... maybe post a new thread with something about 'jumping out' in the title? I know there are lots of people on here with good ideas. Actually you could probably find some by searching.

I hope you weren't serious about keeping him in - although I can understand why you might feel like it!
