Horsey holidays... in a horsebox

Looking forwards to Summer 2021 with lifting of restrictions, does anyone have recommendations for anywhere within 2/3 hours of Manchester for a holiday taking horses, where you can stay in your own horsebox, but use plug in etc.

Would need to have *brilliant* hacking, toilet/shower facilities etc.

Just don't want to bother with having an entire holiday cottage when the horsebox is nice and has 95% of the stuff I need to stay on it!

I know a Cannock Chase has a lot of holiday cottages with horse accommodation and wouldn't be too far away from you. I know that's not what you're asking about but it must mean the riding there is good enough to attract people for horsey holidays. This person offers guided rides across Cannock Chase - she might be able to point you in the direction of somewhere to stay?

I do know of a lovely place on Gower (near Swansea) that has all that but that would be closer to 4 hours in a lorry.

ETA - just done some googling (I get curious about these things!) what about this place? https://www.moorehousefarm.co.uk/holiday-with-your-horse/
The page talks about B&B but they have a campsite too.

ETA again - http://barleyrise.co.uk/stabling-and-camping/. Might not be far enough from home though - as in you might box up to hack in the area for the day anyway?

When I've taken the horses to another area and needed to overnight, it's been the horses which have been charged for (stabling or grazing) with our lorry just parked up around the yard. No charge for a hook up even. It's a great way to see how other people really run their yards and you are on site if there are problems.

Why not phone a BHS approved place and see how they react?

Yes, think this through from the other side. Most places are B & B plus horse accommodation. So the owner is getting money for you and the horses. If you want to camp in your lorry they are losing out on their income, yet still have your horses in their fields.

You may well find somewhere to do this, someone might have a suitable yard, etc and be quite happy for you to do this, but if you get a refusal, or a high charge see it from their side.

I assume your comment is directed at my suggestion. We did run a B&B for a couple of years. We took in all sorts (trailers with jetskis, ice cream wagons, camping cars, etc.) as we were able to offer secure parking and easy access to numerous facilities. If a guest needed something like a hook-up they got it. If the riders brought a horse it was turned out at a very minimal additional charge as we had to clean up afterwards. They could clean kit and vehicles down at no charge, using our facilities. We also provided breakfast at any hour they chose after 06.00 (at that time of the day they got to eat in the kitchen with us, and not the dining room). Our aim was to offer a home from home. It was a top-up income, and our lives did not depend on it.

This year decent accomodation is likely to be at a premium so why deprive somebody who wants a regular break of a room with bed and breakfast? Stopping anywhere in a horsebox allows more people to have a good time at the same time, which is why I made the suggestion.
Hope OP finds somewhere she likes.

This is really interesting as I've wondered about offering it to just one horsebox or a couple if it is a group, I have a 3.5 acre field, no running water or electrics though (water in a trough for horses) and fab hacking locally. I stayed at Glasto in my lorry and didn't need hook up as I just started the engine every couple of days and have my own portaloo. I'm south of Bristol, not far from the Mendips and it's a 40 minute lorry journey to Brean down beach. I've googled and couldn't find a central repository or website that listed all places that might offer this.
