Horsey lady bits?

Yes, my little mare was exactly the same - she loved it.

Wish I had a mare that liked it, I nearly get my head kicked off any time I go any where near! And whoever was asking about baby wipes, yup there absolutely fine. I keep a back in my grooming box and if she's looking grubby just give her a quick wipe round.

Saffy loves to have her teats cleaned, as another poster said she virtually cocks her leg for you! I clean about once a month with just water and a sponge, or if not having a wash I just pick the bits out.
Never had to clean her other bits!

My arab would have belted you in the head in you tried this. She worked hard reguarly so got a bucket of water thrown over her teats instead to get the sweat off. She had to be sedated after the birth of her foal as she hadn't passed all her afterbirth (daft mare panicked when it was coming out & kicked it to smithereens) so vet cleansed her, until she was dopey she hadn't let the foal suckle. Once she couldn't protest anymore, filly latched on well then suddenly you could see the relief on the mares face & the penny dropped. Still not fancy my chances of getting my hand up there for a rummage even now. Made very sure her filly (now 3) is used to being touched all over (got her mum aged 4 already with her opinions).

She never liked her rear area being touched either, but had to get over that as it had to be clean for the coverings. Poor man had to work so hard for his fun. She insisted on plenty of chatting up, very slow careful approach with lots of loving nibbles along the neck/back, then he had to be quick to get up as each time she would start to turn around to see where he had gone. Thank heavens he was an absolute gent.

Old arab mare used to love it, & I'd gently wash her with water each week. She really appreciated the attention & would have trusted her with my life getting underneath to 'rummage' for the crusty bits.
