Am looking for advice/experiences in relation to horse make-up/boot polish/other alternatives.

I need to cover up some white hair growth on black hair and was wondering about the durability and finish of the various products. Do they rub off or is there a secret to 'fixing' them??? We are showing at a reasonable level at the weekend and don't want the judge walking away with black hands!!!

Human hair dye!! I had a 13 WHP that had awful scars on both front legs.
If just a few flecks, then permanent maker pen!!
Everything else will leave black hands, NOT that the judges are meant to touch horses any more, well for BSPS any way!!

I bought black hair dye (for horses) for this purpose and it was ok. It came off after a few days but didn't come off on the hand once dry. Can't remember the brand though. Was expensive so prob best with human hair dye.

I was told just for men or loreal, the problem with the makeup and boot polish is that I find it leaves the hair a little dull so it stands out.
I have got to try something out before the breed show so I'll have to post the results.
